CPR & FIRST AID TRAINING

Be Ready When Every Second Counts

Be prepared to help when it matters most. The Atlanta Area Council offers American Red Cross CPR, AED, First Aid, and instructor training designed to give participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond in an emergency and help build a safer Scouting community.

Red Cross Instructor Training

CPR / AED / First Aid & Wilderness First Aid Instructor Training

This instructor course is presented in four training sessions: one online course and three in-person sessions. Participants must complete the online course before February 12, 2026, and attend all three in-person sessions listed below.

After registering and paying, participants will receive information and links to the American Red Cross instructor training platform. The online training module must be completed before the first in-person session. Please print your completion certificate and bring it with you on February 12.

Prerequisites: Participants must be at least 16 years old by the final day of the course, February 15, 2026, and must have completed a CPR / AED / First Aid course within the previous four years.

Class size is limited to 18 participants, so early registration is encouraged.

The Atlanta Area Council is proud to partner with the American Red Cross to provide CPR / AED certifications for the Scouting community and the general public.

Adult CPR & AED: $60

This four-hour course covers basic CPR and AED concepts and is held at Bert Adams Scout Camp. Please arrive early enough to complete check-in before the course begins.

What to Bring

Please bring your own pen or pencil. These courses are fast-paced and include only a few short breaks, so we recommend bringing easy-to-eat snacks and a refillable water bottle. Because participants may spend extended periods kneeling on the floor, you may also want to bring a small pad or cushion.

About the Certification

When registering, make sure each participant has their own email address listed in the registration system. The email address serves as the unique identifier in the American Red Cross database.

Participants recertifying through the American Red Cross should use the same email address associated with their previous certifications. Certificates are issued directly by the American Red Cross and will be sent from classes-notify@usa.redcross.org.

Participants can generally expect to receive their certification email within approximately 10 business days after the course. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
