Marietta After School Scouting Program
Bringing Scouting Beyond the School Day
Through a unique partnership with local schools, the Atlanta Area Council's Marietta After School Scouting Program brings adventure, character development, and leadership opportunities directly to students. By removing financial and scheduling barriers, the program makes Scouting accessible to more young people and families.
More opportunity. Stronger communities. Brighter futures.

A Partnership That Opens Doors
Nearly two decades ago, the Atlanta Area Council partnered with Marietta City and Cobb County schools to address a challenge facing many families: the desire to participate in Scouting, but limited time and financial resources to make it possible.
The solution was to bring Scouting directly to students through an after-school program. With schools providing access and leadership support, and Scoutreach helping cover participation costs, young people could experience the benefits of Scouting without many of the obstacles associated with traditional meeting schedules.
Today, this collaborative approach continues to connect students with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop the values that make Scouting meaningful.

Removing Barriers. Creating Opportunity.
The Marietta After School Scouting Program is designed to make participation possible for families who might otherwise face financial, transportation, or scheduling challenges. Through Scoutreach funding and school partnerships, students receive the support they need to experience Scouting.

Building Character Beyond the Classroom
Scouting reinforces the values that help young people succeed in school and in life. Through hands-on activities, teamwork, and positive adult mentorship, students learn to be courteous, kind, helpful, and responsible while developing confidence and leadership skills.
These experiences complement classroom learning by giving students opportunities to put important lessons into practice, strengthen friendships, and discover their potential.
