Together, we can create a safe and welcoming environment where youth, families, and volunteers can experience the adventures, friendships, and personal growth that make Scouting special.
In just four simple steps, you can help strengthen our culture of safety throughout the Atlanta Area Council:
- Add a Safety Moment at the beginning of every meeting, outing, and adventure. Create your own or choose from the Safety Moments available from Scouting America.
- Ensure all active adults in your program are up to date on their S.A.F.E. Guarding Youth Training.
- Review the age-appropriate guidelines in the Guide to Safe Scouting.
- Make sure your unit is familiar with procedures for unit safety, incident reporting, and council insurance coverage.
