SUMMER CAMP AT WOODRUFF SCOUT CAMP
Welcome Home to Woodruff!
Nestled in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, Woodruff Scout Camp is where outdoor adventure, challenge, and the spirit of Scouting come together. From the moment Scouts arrive, they’re surrounded by forests, mountain streams, and endless opportunities to explore, learn, and experience something new.
Woodruff offers an unforgettable summer camp experience packed with adventure. Scouts can take on whitewater rafting, climbing, swimming, boating, range & target sports, hiking, outdoor skills, weekend camping, and exciting high-adventure activities, all while working toward advancement and discovering new interests.
At Woodruff Scout Camp, Scouts challenge themselves, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and strengthen friendships through hands-on experiences in the outdoors. Whether conquering a new challenge, gathering around the campfire, or simply enjoying time with their pack, troop, or crew, no matter where the trail leads, there’s always a place to come home to at Woodruff.

Woodruff Scout Camp offers whitewater rafting trips on two regional rivers through Whitewater Express: the Nantahala River (Class II-III rapids, ideal for younger or first-time scouts 13+) and the Ocoee River (advanced Class III-IV rapids). Trips are guided, included in standard camp fees, and require a BSA Swim Test.

Make a splash at Woodruff’s Waterfront! Take on Beaver Shark Park, hit the lake for water skiing and motorboating, or enjoy swimming, small-boat sailing, canoeing, fishing, and kayaking. Whether seeking thrills or learning new skills, adventure is always waiting on the water.

Step back into the 18th century at Kendell Crossing! Scouts can try blacksmithing, Dutch oven cooking, candlemaking, carpentry, folk music and dancing, and caring for livestock. Top it off with Woodruff’s own Kendell Crossing Root Beer—a camp favorite with over 2,000 bottles sold each summer!
